Keeping It Simple

IF YOU’RE HOSTING A SATURDAY SALON TONIGHT, keep your set up simple.  My sister-in-law gave me these great catering plates, which come in stacked racks, just like those pie displays they have in diners.  Easy access, works in tight spaces, and are generous enough to hold all the wonderful food you made and your guests brought to share. Look for creative containers to use for utensils and napkins.

For glasses, I like an eclectic mix of wine and water glasses vs matchy-matchy sets, but whatever you have is fine – a variety of shapes means everyone can find just the right goblet or cup for their beverage of choice.  It’s also easier for your guests to keep track of which glass is theirs during the evening.
